2D (loc, scale) inversion

Each runner now has its own consistency (scale) as well as ability (location). A small scale means a sharply-peaked performance density (very consistent); a large scale means high variability. The calibrator interpolates across the scale axis using a small set of per-scale price–location curves.

Field

One runner per line as dividend, scale.

With identical scales the recovery collapses to the 1D calibration on this site. With heterogeneous scales each runner is inverted against its own scale curve and the implied locations differ in a way that pure 1D inversion cannot capture.
